GOOD TIMES ON BRONCO PEAK

Jun 16, 2008

Two Jeeps, a beautiful day, and a big hill with lots of rocks! If this is what you think of during the week or the way you would describe a great weekend, then that's what we found on Bronco Peak. I can't say that we left for Bronco Peak with great expectations of a fun time, mostly because some of our members were scared away by YOUTUBE videos and others by the obligations of father's day. Ok, these can be scary things but not enough to scare two of us away from the challenge. Yeh, I read the books and the web descriptions of Bronco Peak, but I find much of this information to be exaggerated by ego's or a need to add excitement to there trail descriptions. This was not the case; I found that this trail lived up to just about everything written about it. I read words like "Nasty", "Hardcore", and "Difficult". I found they could of added words like "Fun" and "Challenging". The trail starts off fairly easy but gradually becomes more difficult and then really never lets up until the end. This trail has all the makings of a great off road challenge. Making the time even better was what I would describe as unusually beautiful weather for early summer. Yes, we got a nice little sun burn but really didn't break much of a sweat. This trip was truly good time's on Bronco Peak! There were only two disappointments that we drove away with, the realization that we had not run this hill before and that more friends weren't there to enjoy it with us. If you like real off road challenges and aren't afraid of what you see on YOUTUBE then Bronco Peak is a  good choice for good times! BRONCO PEAKDSC_7420.jpg
