Jeremy's bad ass black jeep.

DSC_6708.jpgJeremy's bad ass black jeep. I can't explain Jeremy he's a Raider fan from Kansas, but I can explain how you take your basic black Jeep Rubicon and make it bad ass. You start by taking a fairly capable Jeep Rubicon and add the best long arm lift system you can find for a Jeep TJ. The Rubicon Express 5.5 Extreme Duty lift kit. This kit is designed for extreme trails but it's not overkill. This kit retains all the great ride characteristics of the stock TJ but allows the clearance for 35 inch tires and articulation you wouldn't believe unless you saw it. If you don't think the stock TJ rides well than maybe you should get real man car like a Jetta. If the lift is the backbone of the vehicle then the wheels and tires are legs that make it all work. Jeremy chose Mickey Thompson, both their wheels and tires are great in tuff off road terrain. He installed 35 inch M/TZ on Classic II wheels. These mods alone are enough to make this a very bad ass Jeep.

DIGGIN' IN

Now that it's capable of taking on almost anything what should a good little jeeper do, accessorize! Jeremy didn't want his bad ass Jeep to have cheep ass bumpers so he decided on Body Armor bumpers with a rear swing out carrier. He wanted to carry a full size spare without worrying about it falling off. Body Armor bumpers are probably the best mass produced bumpers you can buy for your Jeep, nice choice. Jeremy learned very quickly after that, that even well equipped Jeeps can get stuck. He concluded that it was time to be a bit more capable, so he added a Warn Power Plant winch. This is not only a very cool upgrade; it can get you out of some very sticky situations and air up your tires at the end of the trail. It's a very practical upgrade and adds a degree of safety that no other single modification can.

With such a pretty face, the Jeep's not Jeremy's the next step was to toughen up the under belly. He added ARB differential covers, a Tomken oil and transmission cover, and a Currie Enterprises heavy duty tie rod and drag link. This seems to be doing the job of protecting the vital parts under the Jeep, but if anyone can find stuff to break under his Jeep, it's Jeremy. Once you add up all the weight of the mods it became necessary to squeeze all the available power from the inline six. This was accomplished by installing a cold air intake from K&N and a cat back exhaust from Flow Master. If you like Jeremy's bad ass Jeep you can build one of your own. He made a very wise move by getting all parts and installation through "Good To Go Off Road" in San Diego. They can be reached at 619-990-5098. The reason 4X4CORPS chose Jeremy's Jeep as are first featured rig, it's truly a bad ass Jeep, regardless of Jeremy.
